The accounting gap matters. That $782,000 ETH purchase is a fraction of the $5.18 million HYPE sale. The rest of the proceeds? Unclear. Lookonchain reported one data point. The full transaction trail hasn&#x27;t been independently verified. Read the whale signal with that gap in mind.
Still, the contrast got attention. Lookonchain&#x27;s post generated more than 73,000 interactions. The on-chain counternarrative resonated. BeInCrypto flagged it as early as June 23, noting ETH&#x27;s network activity was pointing toward rotational dynamics that ETF flow data alone wasn&#x27;t capturing.
Ethereum&#x27;s social metrics add context. ETH carried a LunarCrush Galaxy Score of 57.8 at the time of data capture. AltRank of 38. 40.7 million 24-hour interactions trending upward, per signal data tied to CoinGecko&#x27;s market reporting.
