The move was announced by <a href="https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2026-03-17-PAYPAL-BRINGS-PAYPAL-USD-TO-USERS-ACROSS-70-MARKETS" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PayPal</a> and issuing partner Paxos Trust Company. PayPal USD (PYUSD) now reaches markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
The goal? Better cross-border payment options and digital savings alternatives. Especially in emerging markets. Places where local currencies face serious volatility.
